Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
Early pair of Hinger Stoccato timpani mallets with aluminum shafts. This pair of timpani sticks has aluminum shafts that are 1/2" in diameter which is thinner than the later 5/8" aluminum shafts used by the Hinger Touch-Tone Company. The wooden head on these mallets is a small, cylinder shaped black wood as compared to the later oval shaped heads used by the company. The combination of the small shaft diameter, cylindrical wooden head, and the early gold and black Hinger stamp make these one of the earlier pairs of timpani sticks produced by Hinger. The aluminum shafts are n excellent condition with only one small dent in one of the shafts. The hinger gold and black decal labels are mostly intact and the handles are original. This is a fine, playable pair of Hinger timpani sticks that will also make a nice addition to a vintage mallet collection.
