Hinger Private Collection Now Available

Beautifully refinshed Slingerland Professional Model snare drum from the 1930s. Solid maple, steam bent shell, 8 tube lugs, and repainted with the original color combination of blue/gold two-tone fade pattern. This drum has no extra holes and all original hardware with original nickel plating in very good condition. The throw-off works smoothly unlike most three point throw-offs from the era that can be a little tight when trying to engage and disengage the snares. The snares are original 16 strand Slingerland snares that came on the drum. There is one strand that has been stretched out and is a bit loose. We cannot find a listing for this combination of solid maple shell and two-tone Duco in Slingerland catalogs of the era but it is guaranteed original. When the drum was found most of the paint was missing or flaking off. Original pieces of the paint were saved and used to match the paint used by Adam Kozie to repaint the shell for us in the original two-tone Blue/Gold pattern. This is a nice drum either as a player drum or a display drum. This is a great solid shell snare from Slingerland that is a must for any vintage snare drum collection.
